- The intention of Estamos Leyendo is for children to realize that they can read lengthier books with chapters, understand them, and most of all enjoy them. Estamos Leyendo includes twenty-two fiction and non-fiction titles with reading guides that include summaries, main idea and questions for each chapter that the teachers use to guide the children in their reading and understanding of the books. This program includes children from age 9 through 15.
- Dentro Del Libro is the third program. This book encourages children to get involved and interact with the book through writing. After each chapter, children share their own ideas or respond to their choice of question on a reading response log. Children can “talk” to the characters or author, write about the setting, or think on paper about the book. This program includes children ages 12 and up.
