The Homework Room...
... is the second room in the library. Though it looks like a kitchen -- it isn`t. All that is cooking up in here are the imagination and thinking skills of each child as they tackle their homework, school projects, and reports that they bring with them to work on at the library.
It is an almost quite (with reminders), well lit space with benches for up to 10 children to sit along the counters. There are textbooks, dictionaries and other important books at hand to get homework done. There is a word wall, posters of maps, math tables, and other helpful references on the walls.
Not only do the children have an area to do homework but they have help. The library has two teachers and volunteers to help and motivate the children to get their homework done.
