Volunteer Testimonials
The library has opened its doors to, welcomed, and enjoyed a steady number of volunteers. Volunteers come to read with the children, help them with their homework, and to play games with them. The children greatly appreciate having someone at their side encouraging them to read on.
Below is what some of the volunteers have to say…
“¡Hasta luego chicos! It was a great pleasure to spend these past weeks with all of you. How hard you all worked and you have so many books to enjoy. I will always remember the stories, games, and children of the library!”

“What made my time in Cusco, Peru so great were the kids from La Pagina En La Puerta. I spent 3 days a week in the library for a few hours each time. I loved to walk in and see the light in the kids eyes,
they were so happy to have me there. I loved to sit and read with the children and help them learn. But truthfully, I think that I was learning more than they were, and they had no idea that they were teaching me! The children helped me learn and better my Spanish and they taught me a lot about myself. La Pagina En La Puerta was a huge part of my time in Peru and I loved being there! “
